DAVE McHUGH (IRL) ACOUSTIC JAM with FRANKIE PARDO (NL) - harp & TIBOR HORVÁTH (HU) - harp, mandolin NOTHIN'BUT THE BLUES PUB was opening 1993 three month earlier than famous venue in London almost on the same name. Most Hungarian blues musicians played and play now here. It's not only a pub: it's an asylum place before or after big gigs. Tough pub is open till late, live music can be strictly up to 10pm! Ideal place to have a dinner: kitchen is good, meals are delicious, big enough on reasonable prices. Admission: FREE 22 January 2010 Late Night Show Location: 36 (house number) VII. DAVE McHUGH BAND (IRL) & S-MODELL (HU) + Special Guests FÉSZEK est. 1901 is an artist club with more rooms. Fészek Pub is just left from the main entrance into the cellar. Fészek means 'Nest' - so venue is very small - max. 80 people inside. Open till the morning, great freedom. Sometimes you can meet artists in costume or musicians who are jumping in just for a drink then jamming. Great blues & R&R jam expected! FÉSZEK is just a few corners from NOTHIN' BUT THE BLUES PUB. 5 min by taxi, 3 stops by tram 4-6 or an easy walk.

GMB (HU) DAVE McHUGH BAND (IRL) S-MODELL (HU) + Special Guests KALÓZTANYA is a special venue. It's not in the center but serves total freedom: no time limit, no sound restrictions. Atmosphere of the boat is warm also in winter. According to owners it is even safe when highwater is on River Danube - the boat which served from 1963 till 2002 as a tug - standing on Small-Danube (Kis-Duna). KALÓZTANYA (Pirates' Place) is south of the center. Seems to be hidden in the middle of nowhere but close to everything. 4 stops (9 min) from Vágóhíd station by HÉV (City Train) Direction: Ráckeve (Pesterzsébet-Felső) or 9 stops with bus 23 (12 min) from Boráros tér. Night buses (923) to the center in every half an hour. Simple but cheap accommodation also available on the boat.
